Eyes on Boora is now going full steam ahead. 44 pupils from Lumcloon, Broughall and Coolanarney National Schools took part in a day long photography workshop on Friday September 8th. Led by Aisling O'Rourke the children were tasked with creating images to show what Boora means to them.
As part of the day's activities the pupils received an ecology class before heading out to explore and later made cyanotype images using foliage they'd collected on the bog. These images and group portraits created using instant film will be on display as part of Eyes on Boora Offaly Culture Night on September 22nd. The launch takes place at 15.30 in the Lough Boora visitor centre and is open and free to all.
